William Beeves is a Marriage and Family Therapist, licensed in both Wisconsin and Minnesota, who has extensive cross cultural experience both as a member of the military and as a civilian. He obtained his master’s degree in Marriage and Family therapy from UW-Stout. In addition to being an EMDR trained clinician, he has specialized training for and experience working alongside of children who have autism, problems controlling their anger, and problems with being hyper or impulsive. William enjoys working with children in ways that empower them to make decisions and learn giving them opportunities to share their perspectives and take responsibility for their decisions.
William also has experience working in an outpatient setting with individuals, couples, and families who have found themselves wanting help to improve their relationships and their sense of well-being. William has worked with adults who have had traumatic experiences, couples’ issues, difficulties with anger management, depression and anxiety, those suffering from grief and loss, and other topics.
He enjoys hearing each person’s understanding of what they believe to be the problem in a non-judgmental way, working with each person to solve the problems that they bring forth without minimizing or complicating what a client would like to see. William enjoys using his skills in a non-intrusive way in order to allow the client to grow and experience success. He believes that clients are the experts of their own lives even when they seek out help, and that clients should be the ones who set goals for therapy.
